When you buy a table or sponsor, you power verified IBTU services: casework and referrals, housing and benefits navigation, on-site health access days such as dental screenings, mental-health support, and vision care with glasses, school readiness supplies and tech, and the operations that deliver help quickly and with dignity.
Five years in, we’ve learned that impact is built one family, one student, one act of care at a time—and it only works when Los Angeles shows up together. This night isn’t about spotlight or ceremony; it’s about making sure the help keeps coming when the headlines fade.

At IBTU, we meet people where they are—providing critical resources like food, safety, and community support that address the core needs of human potential. Guided by a framework based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, our services are focused on ensuring the stability, dignity, and empowerment of every individual.

Founded in 2020, IBTU was born out of a vision to address the pressing challenges of poverty and discrimination in South Los Angeles. What started as a community-driven response has evolved into a robust platform for sustainable change. We work hand-in-hand with low-income youth and families, offering essential resources and support through our food and resource distribution programs, education initiatives, and community-building events.
Through this holistic, relationship-first approach, IBTU empowers individuals to break the cycles of poverty, embrace self-sufficiency, and create flourishing communities.
