It’s Bigger Than Us, 501c(3): This organization was started in 2020 during a time when the nation was protesting injustice across the world. As the collective communities demonstrated unity through marching, chatting and speaking in inclusive and unifying ways, IBTU wanted to transform the height of the protest movement essence of unity and bring it back to the community of South central Los Angeles. They wanted to go from screaming and marching and saying Black Lives Matter to translating that into impactful volunteer and advocacy opportunities for local and surrounding residents. It’s Bigger Than Us was started because they didn't want the movement to stop in the street once the protesting stopped. Within a short time, they rallied local community members of South Central to begin getting involved and taking intuitives in giving back in extraordinary ways. The existence of It’s Bigger Than Us is a direct reflection of what can be done  when community members come together to help others.
